Questions people ask.
About the app, the price, and learning Bisaya. Anything else: [email protected].
Is MyBisayaTutor free?
+
Yes. The 1,000-word vocabulary deck, the translator, all 28 grammar lessons and a 200-clip audio library are free forever, plus a few stories, media picks and Kabaws each day — no trial timer, no account. Pro removes the caps and adds streaks, custom plans and the progress dashboard, at $4.99 a month, $24.99 a year, or $59.99 once for life.
How long does it take to learn Bisaya?
+
Roughly 100 hours to a basic exchange (A1), 200 to short everyday conversations (A2), 500 to handle daily life without English (B1). At 30 minutes a day that's about 7, 13 and 33 months.
Is Bisaya the same as Tagalog?
+
No. They're separate languages in the same family — about as close as Spanish and Italian. Tagalog vocabulary won't carry you, though the grammar concepts transfer.
Are the voices real native speakers?
+
No. The listening clips, the dictionary audio and the Kabaws are all spoken by a neural text-to-speech voice tuned for Cebuano, and reviewed by the developer. For real native speakers at real speed, the Native Media tab links out to Cebuano creators on YouTube.
Is there an Android app?
+
It's coming to Google Play in November 2026. iOS is available today.
